The Alzheimers Society

Offers advice, information and support to people with dementia, their families and carers through its helpline and local branches.

The Bladder and Bowel Foundation

Provides a range of resources for people with bladder and bowel problems. Runs a national helpline, offering confidential advice from a specialist nurse. You can order the booklets and factsheets over the phone, or sign up as a registered supporter (you must donate a minimum of £10 for a year's access) to download them from the website or to search for a continence clinic.

Charity offering a free information and advice service for carers.

Crohn’s and Colitis UK

Charity offering support and advice to people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBS). Produces information sheets which are available to download for free. Also has a national helpline that people with Crohn’s and Colitis can call and get support from other patients.

Charity which offers emotional and practical support to people diagnosed with MS and their families and carers.

Government website offering free health advice. Its A-Z provides information on a range of illnesses and conditions. You can also use the online incontinence self-assessment tool and visit the Living with incontinence section.

Parkinson’s UK

Charity which runs a helpline staffed by nurses, produces information sheets and other publications and has a network of local support groups.
